BA (Hons) Fashion Textile Design
Course Overview
This course will help you become a fashion textile design specialist by combining a range of practical textile skills across print, stitch, embellishment and knit, with the complementary fashion design skills such as pattern cutting, construction, fashion illustration and digital portfolio promotion. Academic specialists will teach you how to conduct advanced research, conceptual, creative and technical abilities that will allow you to determine your own creative direction. With opportunities to fuse fashion contexts and textile specialisms according to your personal style, technical direction and design focus. The fashion industry is adapting to a rapidly changing world more than ever, which post-pandemic will require adaptable, flexible, and creative agents for change. Through this course we will help you become a forward-thinking contemporary designer with a practical and creative understanding of responsible and sustainable design. | The April intake International Year Zero (IYZ) 3-Term pathway does not follow the standard progression route. Students will study the International Year Zero (IYZ) from April to December, then progress to the International Year One (IY1) starting in January. Fees for the IY1 stage are not yet confirmed. These fees are expected to be in line with Oxford International pathway fees and will be confirmed closer to the start of the IY1 programme. All pathway fees are subject to annual review and may increase in line with policy, inflation, or regulatory changes. | |
