With fast-developing digital era, the role of computing and its impact on our lives is more important than ever. Innovative and futuristic computer technologies are constantly being unveiled, with software engineers, systems developers, programmers and analysts playing a vital role in their creation and development. Studying at DMU means benefiting from more than 50 years of successful teaching, our Computer Science course focuses on modern approaches to software systems development, allowing you to explore both the theoretical and practical skills needed to understand programming language concepts, software design methods, secure web systems, computer architecture and computer networks. This degree course will prepare you for a wide variety of career opportunities, from programming and developer roles to software engineering, with computer technology closely linked with an extensive range of industries such as medicine, education, entertainment, security and architecture.

Important Pathway Information
The April intake International Year Zero (IYZ) 3-Term pathway does not follow the standard progression route.
If you choose this pathway, you will study the International Year Zero (IYZ) 3-Term from April to December, then progress to the International Year One (IY1), starting in January.
After successfully completing the IY1 in August, you will progress to Year 2 of your university degree in September.
- The International Year Zero and International Year One pathways will be taught at the International College.
- Year 2 and Year 3 of your degree will be taught at the University.

| The April intake International Year Zero (IYZ) 3-Term pathway does not follow the standard progression route. Students will study the International Year Zero (IYZ) from April to December, then progress to the International Year One (IY1) starting in January. Fees for the IY1 stage are not yet confirmed. These fees are expected to be in line with Oxford International pathway fees and will be confirmed closer to the start of the IY1 programme. All pathway fees are subject to annual review and may increase in line with policy, inflation, or regulatory changes. | |
