Each graduate programme has specific program requirements for subjective and objective review. Refer to the individual program to view the minimum GPA requirements. Certain GPA’s qualify a student for Objective review/decision. Additional lower GPA’s require subjective review and could still qualify a student. Some graduate programs have additional pre-requisites which will be confirmed to you as part of your admissions counselling. Please supply certified translated transcripts from all previous colleges and universities attended documenting an accredited 4-year degree or equivalent. Program minimum GPA for subjective review:
Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics (STEM) = 2.75 GPA
Master of Science in Business Analytics (STEM) = 2.75 GPA or 2.5 GPA will be considered with a relevant degree or 4-5 years of industry experience
Master of Science in Bioengineering (STEM) = 2.75 GPA
Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (STEM) = 2.75 GPA with experience
Master of Science in Civil Engineering (STEM) = 2.5 GPA
Master of Science in Computer Science (STEM) = 2.75 GPA
Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering (STEM) = 2.5 : 2.75 with industry experience or significantly higher performance in their final 3-4 semester or 2.25 : 2.5 must have 5+ years industry experience
Master of Science in Materials and Energy Science and Engineering (STEM) = 2.75 GPA

Min 2.5 GPA – 45 Third Class

The University of Louisville seeks to admit college-ready students. Students with strong high school grades and a pre-college high school curriculum are generally admitted. Students with lower test scores will be considered if they demonstrate strong high school grades in a rigorous high school curriculum.
GCE: O Level: Minimum grade of C or 5 in a minimum of 5 subjects, average of all subjects taken must also be a C or higher
IGCSE: Minimum grade of C or 5 in a minimum of 5 subjects, average of all subjects taken must also be a C or higher. *Any AS/A Levels will be included in assessment. All subjects must meet standards as outlined here.
GCE: AS/ A Level: Minimum grade of C or 5 in a minimum of 5 subjects (can be a combination of O and A level), average of all subjects taken must also be a C or higher; *Any O Levels will be included in assessment. All subjects must meet standards as outlined here.
IB: International Baccalaureate: Successful completion of IB Diploma minimum of 27 Points
West African School Certificate: Completion with minimum C4 in a minimum of 5 subjects
General Educational Development (GED) exam: The GED satisfies proof of HS graduation only. Applicants must have a minimum score of 145 (equivalent to 2.9 GPA). They will be required to take the Reading Accuplacer exams to indicate college readiness.
