Course Overview

This degree provides a comprehensive understanding of the festival and events industry, from planning and design to strategic management. You will explore how events are created, marketed and managed, developing both creative and business-focused skills. Early modules introduce you to the fundamentals of event operations and business management, while later stages cover specialised topics such as event sustainability, sports and corporate events, and venue management.

You will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through a 24-week work placement or a consultancy-based live project, allowing you to apply your learning in a professional setting. In your final year, you will complete a dissertation and further develop your strategic and analytical skills. Supported by experienced staff and strong industry connections, this course prepares you to become a confident and capable professional in the global events sector.
