Course Overview

This degree combines mechanical engineering with manufacturing expertise, helping you understand how products are designed, developed and produced across a range of industries. You will gain a strong foundation in engineering principles alongside practical experience in solving real-world challenges.

You will develop technical and professional skills, including:

  • Designing and analysing mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
  • Using tools such as computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing technologies
  • Developing problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills

With strong industry links and the opportunity to gain experience through a placement year, this course prepares you for careers in mechanical, manufacturing and production engineering.
