Course Overview

This course goes beyond the limits of traditional economics and business-related courses by combining a thorough understanding of economic theory, relevant applications and business knowledge.You will explore how economic principles influence management, policy and organisational behaviour across different sectors.

You will develop a strong set of analytical and problem-solving skills, including:

  • Applying economic concepts to real-world business and policy challenges
  • Using quantitative and qualitative techniques to support decision-making
  • Understanding the economic factors shaping organisations and markets

These skills are highly valued across the private, public and third sectors, preparing you for a range of career opportunities or further study in economics and business-related fields.

Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee.
