Course Overview

In today’s globalised economy, businesses operate across borders and national boundaries play a much smaller role in where goods are produced and services are delivered. This course explores what this means for the modern business world, with economics at its core, covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Broader than a standalone economics degree, it examines globalisation, applied policy and the key external factors shaping international business.

You will also study one Spanish module per semester. You can continue this language from where you left off at Higher/A-level, or take our intensive programme if you are a beginner.

International Business is available as a BSc or an MA, with the main differences in Levels 1 and 2. The MA option is ideal if you are looking for greater flexibility and have a strong interest in arts and social science subjects, allowing you to study areas such as History, English, Geography, Politics or Psychology alongside your compulsory modules. You will also study one Spanish language module per semester each year, at either beginner or intensive level depending on your previous experience.
