Course Overview

Gain a qualifying law degree while developing specialist knowledge of the global energy sector and its legal challenges. Recognised in many common law countries that accept an English qualifying law degree, this course provides a strong foundation for careers in legal practice, energy regulation, business, and international law.

Through the International Stage One (IS1) Law, Psychology and Social Studies pathway, you will begin with 120 credits before progressing to Year 1 of this three-year degree. You will build key legal knowledge, critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills while exploring topics linked to energy law and policy.

This degree can also form part of the recognised route towards qualifying as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales. Outside the classroom, students can join active Law societies, take part in mooting competitions, and gain valuable experience through networking opportunities, legal debates, and student-led publications.
