Course Overview

This unique international programme explores the legal challenges that arise when disputes, families, and businesses operate across national borders. You will study key areas of private international law, including jurisdiction, choice of law, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, with opportunities to specialise in commercial or family law. The programme begins at the University of Dundee, where you will develop critical legal analysis skills through discussion-based learning and independent research. You will then continue your studies at the University of Toulouse, experiencing a different legal and academic tradition through lectures, specialist seminars, and collaborative projects. Throughout the course, you will gain valuable international perspectives on cross-border legal issues and comparative legal systems. Successful graduates are awarded both a Dundee LLM and a Master 2 degree from Toulouse, providing a strong foundation for international legal practice, research, and global careers.
