Course Overview

Gain insight into crime, criminal behaviour and the psychological factors that shape society through a degree that combines criminology and criminal psychology. This course examines contemporary issues within criminal justice while helping students develop a deeper understanding of behaviour, social influences and responses to crime. Students will explore topics including criminal investigation, forensic psychology, policing, rehabilitation and social justice while developing strong research, analytical and communication skills. Teaching combines theoretical learning with practical application to help students understand real-world criminal justice challenges. Graduates will be equipped for careers across criminal justice, policing, probation, social services, victim support, community rehabilitation and wider public sector roles.
