Course Overview

Gain advanced knowledge of human rights, global justice and contemporary social issues through a degree designed to develop critical thinking and ethical awareness. This course explores how human rights frameworks shape international policy, law and social change across different global contexts. Students will examine topics such as equality, migration, humanitarian issues, international governance and social justice while developing strong analytical, research and communication skills. Teaching encourages students to engage with real-world debates and evaluate the challenges facing human rights protection globally. Graduates will be prepared for careers in advocacy, public policy, charities, international organisations, education and wider humanitarian sectors. This course also offers the opportunity to undertake a Professional Experience Year, giving students the chance to gain valuable industry experience, develop professional skills and apply their learning in a real-world working environment before graduation.
