Course Overview
This BSc (Hons) Banking with Financial Technology focuses on developing analytical, statistical, programming and coding skills alongside a strong understanding of banking, finance and the economics that underpin them. You will study both traditional banking and finance concepts and emerging fintech topics such as coding, machine learning, databases, personal finance, investments, insurance and regulation, preparing you for the rapidly evolving financial sector.
You will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard tools including Bloomberg terminals, Stocktrak portfolio simulation and statistical analysis software, with access to real-time and historical financial data from the UK and international markets. Teaching is informed by world-class research and close links with international institutions and policymakers, and benefits from over five decades of banking and finance teaching at Bangor University, a Chartered Banker Institute Centre of Excellence.
