Course Overview

Bringing together film, digital and print media, journalism, audio and visual production, music and cultural studies, this course allows you to explore the creative industries from both practical and theoretical perspectives. You will develop production skills alongside critical and analytical thinking, with the flexibility to tailor your studies to your interests rather than choosing between creative or technical pathways.

Learning is highly practical, with access to industry-standard digital media equipment, creative studios and extensive loan services for cameras, recorders and production tools. Teaching is delivered by experienced analysts and practising professionals whose expertise spans cinema, journalism, advertising, screenwriting, animation, gaming, media regulation and visual culture. Studying at Bangor University, in a striking coastal and mountain location frequently used by major film and television productions, you will gain real-world insight into how creative industries operate while building the confidence, adaptability and skills needed to succeed in a fast-changing media landscape.
