Today, accountants are performing tasks that require analytical skills at increasing rates namely due to large amounts of data exchanged across a host of industries. There are many applications of data analytics in the accounting field that can help accountants identify trends or patterns in data that assist in decision-making. Our program combines a general business and accounting background with skills in data analysis and critical thinking to prepare students for careers in accounting and business analytics, consulting, and strategic and operational management. Modern accountants need to develop an analytical mindset in order to keep up with industry trends and remain competitive in the workforce.
