Course Overview

This course is designed for students seeking to enter the fast-paced world of modern media, combining storytelling expertise with cutting-edge production skills. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical, legal, and ethical elements of journalism across various broadcast platforms.

As media technologies evolve, so will your skills, preparing you to work in today’s integrated digital landscape — whether on television, online, or through new and emerging platforms.

The course will teach a wide variety of topics relevant to broadcast journalism, including but not limited to: storytelling, podcasting, production software, virtual production, politics and public administration, course reporting, studio and outside broadcasting, ethics and law for journalism, impact journalism, and emerging technologies.

The programme is distinctive in its focus on broadcast journalism, rather than print media, and is aimed at catering for this new broadcasting landscape.
