BSc (Hons) Events Management

Develop the knowledge and practical experience to design, manage and deliver a wide range of events, from festivals and conferences to sporting events, exhibitions and luxury weddings. You will explore the operational, creative and commercial aspects of event management while building the skills needed to succeed in a dynamic industry.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

• Understanding event planning, marketing, operations and business management
• Designing and delivering a variety of live events
• Developing leadership, project management and people management skills
• Collaborating with venues, entertainment providers, caterers and industry partners

The course combines academic study with hands-on industry experience to prepare you for careers across the events sector. You will also have the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications in Licensing (BIIAB) and Health and Safety (IOSH). It is delivered by Sheffield Business School, whose business courses are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
