Course Overview

This degree focuses on the technical design and construction of buildings, helping you understand how structures are developed, managed and delivered in practice. You will gain knowledge across key areas such as materials, building performance and construction technology.

You will develop both technical and professional skills, including:

  • Understanding building design, construction methods and regulatory requirements
  • Using industry-standard tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Applying knowledge to real-world design and construction challenges

With the opportunity to gain practical experience through a placement year, the course prepares you for careers in architectural technology, construction and related built environment roles.
