Course Overview

This degree focuses on how modern computing technologies are used to solve real-world problems and support organisations. You will develop a strong understanding of IT systems alongside the skills needed to manage and maintain them in a business environment.

You will build practical and technical skills across key areas, including:

  • Programming, database development and web technologies
  • Understanding computer systems, networks and business information systems
  • Applying technology to support business processes and decision-making

With opportunities to explore emerging areas such as data analytics, the Internet of Things and digital innovation, this course prepares you for a wide range of careers in IT and technology-driven roles.

Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee.
