Course Overview

This interdisciplinary programme brings together Islamic Finance, financial technology and artificial intelligence, combining established financial principles with emerging digital and data-driven approaches.
You will develop an understanding of how financial systems are evolving, and how technologies such as machine learning, analytics and blockchain are transforming financial services.
You will explore key concepts in Islamic Finance, including ethical frameworks, governance and financial instruments, alongside practical applications of FinTech and AI.
The programme also considers the regulatory, ethical and risk dimensions of technology-enabled finance, supporting responsible and sustainable innovation.
As you progress, you will develop your ability to analyse financial systems, evaluate technological solutions and understand how innovation can be applied in different organisational and global contexts. You will also have the opportunity to explore areas such as financial analytics, digital platforms and AI-driven decision-making.
The programme prepares you for careers in Islamic Finance, financial services and FinTech, as well as further postgraduate study or research in finance, technology and related fields.
