Course Overview

This interdisciplinary programme combines technical AI knowledge with an understanding of how emerging technologies are shaping global security, governance and international relations.
You will explore how artificial intelligence is applied in areas such as space data, satellite systems and advanced analytics, while also examining the wider implications of these technologies.
You will develop skills in machine learning, data analysis and applied AI, alongside an understanding of how these technologies are designed, deployed and used in real-world contexts. At the same time, you will engage with key issues such as ethics, governance, international security and responsible innovation.
As you progress, you will learn to evaluate the role of AI and space technologies within complex global systems, considering both their technical capabilities and their societal and strategic impacts. You will develop the ability to analyse emerging technologies critically and apply your knowledge to real-world challenges.
The programme prepares you for careers across technology, security, policy and research-focused sectors, as well as further postgraduate study in artificial intelligence, space systems and related interdisciplinary fields.
