Course Overview

Economics is a broad and dynamic subject that explores how individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions and interact within markets and societies. This course gives you a strong foundation in both microeconomics, which examines individual and business behaviour, and macroeconomics, which focuses on the performance and policies of whole economies.
You will study how economic theories apply to real-world challenges such as global trade, inequality, financial stability, and sustainable growth. The programme also develops your ability to assess the impact of economic policy and analyse the performance of financial and public institutions.
Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, you will gain the analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills needed to interpret data, evaluate trends, and make informed decisions—skills that are highly valued across the public and private sectors.
