Course Overview

This degree explores how businesses operate in an increasingly globalised world, where national borders have less influence on where goods are produced and services are delivered. With economics at its core, you will study both microeconomics and macroeconomics while also examining global business, international policy and the external factors that shape decision-making worldwide.

You will also study one French module per semester. You can continue this language from where you left off at Higher/A-level, or take our intensive programme if you are a beginner.

The BSc (Hons) option focuses more on business-related subjects such as management, economics and finance, alongside French language study each year, while the MA (Hons) option offers greater flexibility to combine core modules with arts and social science subjects including History, English, Geography, Politics or Psychology. In Scotland, the MA is an undergraduate degree and is equivalent to a BA or BSc elsewhere in the UK.
