Course Overview

Physics explores the fundamental nature and properties of matter and energy, with applications across a wide range of industries. This course will deepen your understanding of core physics principles, including both classical and modern physics, and build your mathematical and advanced laboratory skills through hands-on experiments. You’ll also study astrophysics topics like space physics, astronomy, stars and planetary systems, and galaxies. In your final year, you’ll complete a personal research project in a laboratory setting, with opportunities for undergraduate research from the beginning of the course. A high staff-to-student ratio and a vibrant Physics Society, which organises social events and trips, create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
