Course Overview

This course prepares you to provide person-centred care and support for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. Your studies are split equally between university-based learning and clinical placements, giving you practical experience in settings such as hospitals, community services, secure care, nursing homes, and substance misuse services. Based at the Kirkcaldy Campus, you will benefit from strong links with NHS Fife and access to a dedicated Clinical Skills Centre with modern simulation facilities. Through practical workshops, scenario-based learning, placements, and academic study, you will develop the communication, critical thinking, and clinical skills required for professional practice. Successful completion of the programme provides both an academic and professional qualification, enabling you to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
