This Geopolitics degree combines the study of geography and politics, providing a unique perspective on the forces that shape international relations, societies, and global challenges. You will develop a strong foundation in political systems, international relations, human and physical geography, and global issues such as conflict, migration, sustainability, and development. As your studies progress, you will explore specialist topics including nationalism, human rights, environmental politics, regional geopolitics, and global security. The flexible structure allows you to tailor your studies through a wide range of optional modules while developing advanced research and analytical skills. Taught by experts in both geography and politics, the course encourages you to examine complex global issues from multiple perspectives. In your final year, you will undertake an independent dissertation in either geography or politics, preparing you for careers in government, international organisations, policy, diplomacy, journalism, research, and the wider public and private sectors.

Payment of Tuition Fees – Pathway Study Your offer letter shows an initial fee that confirms your place on your chosen study preparation course and a link to Flywire so that you can make a secure payment. This initial fee is an instalment towards the overall cost of tuition fees for your study preparation course and includes a one-time non-refundable administration fee. After your CAS Letter has been issued, and before arrival or registration, you must pay your remaining first-year tuition fees in full. Progression degree study is paid separately upon completion of your study preparation course.

Fees are not inclusive of scholarships. All applications are subject to a non-refundable admin Fee of £220 (increasing to £225 from 1st September 2026). Stated fees are for the pathway only and do not include tuition applicable to degree courses continued at the university. The April intake International Stage One (IS1)* 3-term Business pathway does not follow the standard progression route. Students will study International Stage One in Business from April to December and will then progress to International Stage Two starting in January. Fees for International Stage Two have not yet been confirmed. These fees are expected to be in line with Oxford International pathway fees and will be confirmed closer to the start of the International Stage Two programme. All pathway fees are subject to annual review and may increase in line with policy, inflation, or regulatory changes.
