Course Overview

This degree combines International Relations with French and Spanish, giving you the opportunity to explore global politics while developing advanced language and intercultural communication skills. You will examine the relationships between states, international organisations, and non-state actors, exploring issues such as conflict, cooperation, human rights, global security, and political change. As your studies progress, you can specialise in areas including international relations, political theory, nationalism, regional politics, humanitarian intervention, and environmental sustainability. Alongside your politics modules, you will study French and Spanish throughout your degree, whether as a beginner or at an advanced level. The flexible course structure allows you to tailor your studies to your interests while developing valuable skills in research, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. Graduating with expertise in both international affairs and European languages, you will be well prepared for careers in diplomacy, international organisations, government, business, journalism, education, and global communications.
