Course Overview

This degree combines politics with French and Spanish, allowing you to explore political systems, public policy, and global issues while developing advanced language and intercultural communication skills. You will examine key political topics including democracy, power, human rights, international relations, nationalism, and global governance, gaining insight into the forces that shape societies around the world. As your studies progress, you can specialise in areas such as regional politics, political theory, humanitarian intervention, environmental sustainability, and contemporary policy challenges. Alongside your politics studies, you will develop proficiency in French and Spanish, whether you are learning the languages from beginner level or building on previous experience. The flexible course structure encourages you to explore a broad range of interests while developing skills in research, analysis, communication, and problem-solving. Graduating with expertise in both politics and European languages, you will be well prepared for careers in government, diplomacy, international organisations, public affairs, journalism, business, and global communications.
