Course Overview

Developing a critical and global perspective on contemporary nursing practice, this course supports nurses to enhance their professional knowledge across the four pillars of nursing: clinical practice, education, leadership and research. You will strengthen independent and creative thinking, learning how to apply theory, reflection and evidence-based approaches to solve complex problems in diverse healthcare settings.

Learning takes place in a collaborative, on-campus environment alongside nurses from around the world, helping you to build confidence in researching, appraising and applying evidence to influence practice and policy. You will explore the role of nurses in global health systems, priorities and international frameworks, with strong links to the World Health Organization Sustainable Development Goals. Supported by experienced academic staff, the course prepares you to lead change, improve patient care and contribute to nursing practice and scholarship at an international level. A progression pathway to this degree is available from the September 2026 intake.
