Course Overview

The International Stage Two (IS2) in Applied Finance is the first stage of your integrated BSc (Hons) Applied Finance in Practice degree. During this programme, you will be introduced to key areas such as financial accounting, management, business theory, and mathematics for business. You will build a strong foundation in financial principles while developing the analytical and communication skills essential for success in the finance industry.

This stage is equivalent to the second year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree and provides an intensive combination of business-focused modules with additional mathematics and English academic literacy support. Upon successful completion, you will progress to the final two years of your degree at the University of Dundee’s School of Business, which holds professional accreditations from respected bodies including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Association of International Accountants (AIA).
