Professional Diploma in Adult Social Care
Course Overview
The Professional Diploma in Adult Social Care is a level 3 qualification, equivalent to A-Level study. This programme is intended for those who have a strong interest in working within the care sector, offering a potential path to employment within a short period of 9 months.
During your diploma, you will be taught all the skills you need to have a successful career in Adult Social Care.
We will cover everything from theory to practical experience, and our team will be there to support and prepare you every step of the way. As part of our programme, all students will have a 12-week work placement with our trusted local providers near our study centres.

- Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to seek sponsored employment opportunities in the UK and apply for a UK Skilled Worker Visa.

How our
course works
Our vocational course in Adult Social Care gives you the opportunity to study in the UK and gain work experience to start your career.
You will learn key skills which include course specific modules and English language development tailored to a career in Adult Social Care.
You will attend a 12-week work placement in a care setting* as part of your programme where you can put your skills learnt in the classroom into practise.
*Work placements are unpaid and a mandatory part of the course
Upon successful completion you are then able to start your journey to a career in Adult Social Care**

Course modules
This unit provides the learner with the knowledge and skills required to understand and to carry out the responsibilities of an adult care worker, including the quality assurance process within own role, nature of different working relationships, work in ways that are agreed with the employer and work in partnership with others.
This unit covers the important areas of safeguarding individuals from abuse and improper treatment. It identifies different types of abuse and the signs and symptoms that might indicate abuse is occurring. It considers when individuals may be particularly vulnerable to abuse and what a learner must do if abuse is suspected or alleged.
This unit aims to provide the learner with an understanding of the principles of mental capacity, including current legislation, codes of practice and how these principles interact.
This unit is aimed at those who work in a wide range of settings. It introduces how duty of care contributes towards safeguarding and protecting individuals’ rights.
This unit is to ensure that the those working within this sector understand the central importance of communication. They can also understand ways in which they can overcome communication barriers to ensure they are meeting communication needs and preferences of the individuals and others.
