Course Overview
The Professional Diploma in Adult Social Care is a level 3 qualification, equivalent to A-Level study. This programme is intended for those who have a strong interest in working within the care sector, offering a potential path to employment within a short period of 9 months.
During your diploma, you will be taught all the skills you need to have a successful career in Adult Social Care.
We will cover everything from theory to practical experience, and our team will be there to support and prepare you every step of the way. As part of our programme, all students will have a 12-week work placement with our trusted local providers near our study centres.

Course modules
This unit provides the learner with the knowledge and skills required to understand and to carry out the responsibilities of an adult care worker, including the quality assurance process within own role, nature of different working relationships, work in ways that are agreed with the employer and work in partnership with others.

It identifies different types of abuse and the signs and symptoms that might indicate abuse is occurring. It considers when individuals may be particularly vulnerable to abuse and what a learner must do if abuse is suspected or alleged.
