Course Overview

Build a strong foundation in mechanical engineering while developing the practical skills needed to design, analyse and improve mechanical systems. You will explore engineering design, materials and manufacturing, applying your knowledge to create efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

  • Designing, analysing, simulating and testing mechanical systems
  • Applying your knowledge through industry-linked projects and placement opportunities
  • Developing expertise in mechanical science, engineering design, materials and manufacturing
  • Gaining multidisciplinary engineering insights and the opportunity to study abroad

The course combines academic study with practical engineering experience to prepare you for careers across the mechanical engineering sector. It is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
