Course Overview

Develop the knowledge and practical experience needed to support athletes and active individuals through injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. You will combine scientific theory with extensive hands-on clinical practice, gaining the skills required to work confidently across a range of sporting and healthcare environments.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

  • Preventing, assessing, treating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries
  • Completing at least 250 hours of hands-on practice in real-world sports therapy settings
  • Working with athletes across a variety of sports and performance levels
  • Applying evidence-based practice through an accredited programme developed with industry partners

The course combines academic study with extensive practical experience to prepare you for careers in sports therapy and rehabilitation. It is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) against its Gym Instructor professional standards.
