Course Overview
This degree is designed in collaboration with industry to prepare you for a wide range of roles in electronic engineering. You will develop a strong foundation in engineering principles while building technical skills that reflect current industry needs.
A key feature of the course is the opportunity to gain real-world experience through an industrial placement, allowing you to apply your learning in a professional environment. This practical experience enhances your employability and supports your transition into graduate roles.
By combining academic study with hands-on experience, the programme equips you with the skills needed to succeed in the electronics and engineering sector.
Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee. Details of placement year fees can be found on the Ulster University International Tuition Fees page.

Payment of Pathway Study Tuition Fees Your offer letter shows an initial fee that confirms your place on your chosen study preparation course and a link to Flywire so that you can make a secure payment. This initial fee is an instalment towards the overall cost of tuition fees for your study preparation course and includes a one-time non-refundable administration fee. After your CAS Letter has been issued, and before arrival or registration, you must pay your remaining first-year tuition fees in full.
