Course Overview

Quantity surveying and commercial management play a key role in ensuring construction projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably and within budget. This course combines technical knowledge with commercial awareness, helping you understand the financial, legal and operational aspects of the construction industry.

Throughout the programme, you will build practical and professional skills, including:

  • Managing project costs, procurement and contract administration
  • Understanding construction technology, sustainability, law and economics
  • Applying estimating, data management and analytical techniques to live project scenarios

The course is aligned with professional industry standards and offers the opportunity to undertake a placement year, helping you gain valuable real-world experience and prepare for careers across construction and related industries.

Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee.
