Energy plays a vital role in supporting economic growth and creating a more sustainable future. This course explores how science, technology and innovation are used to improve energy systems and develop environmentally responsible solutions.

Throughout the programme, you will build industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills, including:

  • Understanding energy systems, sustainability and energy economics
  • Applying scientific and engineering principles to real-world energy challenges

Supported by strong industry links, the course also offers opportunities for placement experience, helping prepare you for careers in energy, sustainability and related sectors.

Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee.
