Course Overview

This degree explores how economies function and how resources are allocated across societies, helping you understand the forces that shape markets, organisations and public policy. You will gain a strong foundation in both microeconomics and macroeconomics, and how they apply to real-world issues.

You will develop analytical and quantitative skills through the study of economic models and data, including:

  • Analysing decision-making by individuals, businesses and governments
  • Understanding economic trends such as growth, inflation and employment
  • Applying statistical techniques to model and forecast economic outcomes

These skills are highly valued across a range of sectors, preparing you for careers in finance, government, consultancy and beyond, or progression to further study.
