Course Overview
Law shapes many aspects of society, business and public life, and this course combines academic study with practical application to help you understand how legal systems operate in real-world contexts. You will explore core areas of law while building the skills valued across legal and professional sectors.
Throughout the programme, you will benefit from a research-informed and professionally focused learning environment, including:
- Studying areas such as public, contract, criminal and land law
- Access to specialist learning facilities and modern study spaces
- Opportunities to engage with practical and real-world legal issues
You will study within a supportive academic environment that encourages the development of legal knowledge, critical thinking, research and professional skills. This course is available at both the Belfast and Derry~Londonderry campuses, each offering modern teaching, learning and student support facilities.
Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee. Details of placement year fees can be found on the Ulster University International Tuition Fees page.

Payment of Pathway Study Tuition Fees Your offer letter shows an initial fee that confirms your place on your chosen study preparation course and a link to Flywire so that you can make a secure payment. This initial fee is an instalment towards the overall cost of tuition fees for your study preparation course and includes a one-time non-refundable administration fee. After your CAS Letter has been issued, and before arrival or registration, you must pay your remaining first-year tuition fees in full.
