Course Overview

Gain a comprehensive understanding of airline and airport operations while developing the management and technical skills needed for a career in the aviation sector. You will explore industry challenges, operational practices and emerging trends, preparing you to work across a range of aviation environments.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

  • Understanding aviation law, regulation, safety and security management
  • Building knowledge of sustainability, pricing, marketing and project management
  • Working on live projects with industry partners and learning from aviation experts
  • Using specialist simulation software to explore airline and airport operations

The course combines academic study with industry-focused experience to prepare you for careers across airlines, airports and the wider aviation sector. It is delivered by Sheffield Business School, whose business courses are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the Tourism subject group is recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT).
