BSc (Hons) Midwifery
Course Overview
Gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based midwifery care. You will explore all aspects of contemporary midwifery practice while developing the clinical skills and professional confidence to care for women, newborns and families throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Providing care for women, newborns and families across the maternity journey
- Developing clinical skills through placements in a variety of healthcare settings
- Responding to the complexities of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals within multidisciplinary teams
The course combines academic study with extensive clinical experience to prepare you for a career as a qualified midwife. It is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
