Course Overview
The programme explores contemporary issues shaping global business, including sustainability, technological innovation and the challenges of operating in an international environment. Students develop critical thinking, research, academic and professional communication skills, alongside the intercultural awareness needed to succeed in a global workplace. Successful completion prepares students for progression to a range of Business and Management Master’s degrees at Sheffield Hallam University.

This module develops the academic, professional and research communication skills required for successful postgraduate study in business and management. It supports your transition into UK postgraduate education by building your confidence in critical reading, academic writing, professional communication and reflective practice. nnThe module is fully contextualised to postgraduate business study and aligned with your subject modules. You will develop advanced academic conventions, criticality, research-informed writing and professional communication skills required to engage effectively with postgraduate-level business learning and assessment. This module explores contemporary challenges facing organisations, with a particular focus on sustainability, ethics and technological change. You will evaluate how environmental pressures, demographic shifts and digital technologies such as AI and automation are reshaping industries and business models. n n The module develops your ability to critique organisational responses and propose realistic, responsible solutions..
This module develops your understanding of how organisations operate in global environments and how managers communicate and lead across cultures. You will examine international business contexts, cross-cultural management and leadership, and the role of effective communication in influencing stakeholders. n n The focus is on analysing contemporary global business situations and communicating recommendations clearly and professionally in spoken and written form.
