Course Overview
Gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to provide safe, compassionate and family-centred care for infants, children and young people. You will develop the clinical skills and professional values required to deliver high-quality nursing care while working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Providing safe and effective care for infants, children, young people and their families
- Building a strong professional identity and leadership skills for children’s nursing practice
- Learning alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver child and family-centred care
- Gaining extensive clinical experience through placements and simulated practice learning
The course combines academic study with practical clinical experience to prepare you for a career as a registered children’s nurse. It is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the NMC.
