Course Overview
Gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to provide compassionate, person-centred mental health care across a range of healthcare settings. You will develop the clinical skills and professional values required to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery and wellbeing.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Providing safe, evidence-based care for people experiencing mental health conditions
- Building a strong professional identity and leadership skills for modern mental health nursing
- Learning alongside other health and social care professionals in collaborative environments
- Gaining extensive clinical experience through placements and hands-on practical learning
The course combines academic study with practical clinical experience to prepare you for a career as a registered mental health nurse. It is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the NMC.
