BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy
Course Overview
Study occupational therapy and develop the knowledge, practical skills and professional values needed to support people of all ages to live independently and participate in meaningful everyday activities. You will explore how health, wellbeing and occupation are influenced by personal and environmental factors while gaining extensive practice-based experience.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Understanding the role of occupation in promoting health and wellbeing
- Delivering person-centred occupational therapy through inclusive and collaborative practice
- Applying your learning through a range of practice-based placements
- Using creative adaptations to support independence, participation and quality of life
The course combines academic study with practical experience to prepare you for a career as an occupational therapist. It is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and graduates are eligible to apply for HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
