BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science
Course Overview
Study paramedic science and develop the knowledge, practical skills and professional judgement needed to assess, treat and manage patients across a wide range of emergency and urgent care settings. Combining university-based study with extensive practice learning, you will be prepared to respond confidently in complex and unpredictable situations.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Assessing, diagnosing, stabilising and managing patients across all stages of life
- Combining theory with practice to deliver integrated, person-centred care
- Building digital skills to support modern healthcare practice
- Learning alongside other healthcare professionals through an integrated curriculum
The course combines academic study with extensive practice-based learning to prepare you for a career as a registered paramedic. It is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and endorsed by the College of Paramedics. Graduates are eligible to apply for HCPC registration and membership of the College of Paramedics.
