Course Overview

Study radiotherapy and oncology while developing the knowledge, technical expertise and professional skills needed to deliver safe, accurate and person-centred cancer care. You will combine scientific understanding with practical clinical experience, preparing to work with advanced radiotherapy technologies as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

  • Building expertise in oncology, anatomy and physiology
  • Delivering precise radiotherapy treatments using advanced technology
  • Developing communication, research and health promotion skills to support patient care
  • Applying radiation safety principles and providing compassionate, person-centred care throughout the cancer pathway

The course combines academic study with practical clinical experience to prepare you for a career as a therapeutic radiographer. It is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and graduates are eligible to apply for HCPC registration and membership of the Society and College of Radiographers.
