Course Overview

Interactive computing brings together technology, creativity and design to improve how people interact with digital systems. This course focuses on developing engaging and effective user experiences while building strong technical foundations in programming and software development.

Throughout the programme, you will develop practical and creative skills, including:

  • Designing and developing interactive systems using modern programming tools
  • Understanding user experience, interface design and interactive media
  • Applying problem-solving skills to digital and user-focused challenges

With exposure to emerging technologies and advanced interaction methods, the course prepares you for careers across software development, UX/UI design and the wider digital technology sector.

Work Placement Information
A work placement year is an optional part of your degree and is normally completed during your studies, before your final year. If you are interested in undertaking a placement, you should discuss this with your Course Director once you start your degree programme. Please note that you will need to apply for a visa extension and pay an additional placement year tuition fee.
