Course Overview

Our BSc Psychology (Clinical and Mental Health) programme equips you with essential clinical and counselling skills, a strong grounding in psychological science, and the ability to apply psychology to real-world mental health challenges from day one. Through reflective practice and therapeutic communication, you will build confidence in working with others while developing mental health proficiency and professional competencies valued across clinical, counselling, and support roles.

Concepts underlining the three main therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and humanistic approaches
Common mental disorders and psychological distress experimented through life
How our early experiences shape later behaviour and mental wellbeing
The influence of biological, social and environmental factors across the lifespan
