BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
Course Overview
Study diagnostic radiography and develop the knowledge, technical expertise and professional skills needed to produce high-quality medical images that support the diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will combine academic learning with practical experience, preparing to work as a valued member of multidisciplinary healthcare teams while delivering safe, patient-centred care.
Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:
- Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the human body
- Producing diagnostic images using a range of advanced imaging technologies
- Developing expertise in imaging the musculoskeletal and soft tissue systems
- Building research, clinical and patient care skills through practice-based learning
The course combines academic study with practical clinical experience to prepare you for a career as a diagnostic radiographer. It is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and graduates are eligible to apply for HCPC registration and membership of the Society and College of Radiographers.
