The programme supports progression to a range of Business and Management BSc (Hons) degrees and an LLB (Hons) Law degree, emphasising critical thinking, professional skills, and integration into the university environment.

Course modules
This module develops English and academic skills relevant for the specified degree. It builds the reading, listening, writing and speaking skills needed for academic study helping students participate effectively in lectures, seminars, group work and assessment tasks. The module also aims to develop confidence in English communication so students can take part in local and university-wide activities. (40 credits)
This module develops essential digital literacy and professional communication skills for success in higher education and future employment. It introduces the University’s policies on academic integrity and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ensures students have a clear understanding of ethical practices and transparency in their academic work. (20 credits)
This module explores how organisations use resources. It develops understanding of how various types of resources can be utilised effectively and encourages critical consideration of sustainability issues in resource allocation. The module also covers economic, business and financial concepts which relate to resource allocation. In short, this module lays the foundation for understanding resource management and sustainability issues essential to effective decision-making. (20 credits)
This module builds understanding of the roles and functions of different types of businesses and how they are organised and influenced by various external and internal factors. It introduces key business terminology, ownership models, and frameworks.
This module explores concepts in law, ethics and sustainability and how these areas relate to and impact businesses. It develops students’ understanding of legal systems, ethical principles and sustainability challenges and how these influence organisational behaviour and decision-making.
